Tourism Corporation Bonaire welcomes Costa Magica to Bonaire

Kralendijk (March 8th, 2017) – Mr. Maurice Adriaens, Director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) officially welcomed the Costa Cruise Lines ship Costa Magica to the Port of Kralendijk during the traditional plaque exchange ceremony that took place on Tuesday, March 7, commemorating the ship’s inaugural call in Bonaire.
The 102,587-ton, 2,720-passenger cruise ship Costa Magica features “Cruising Italian Style” with a new meaning. The interior theme is Italian holiday spots with posters like impressionist paintings. The Alps line the walls and center the Magica theme in the atrium. All public spaces are called after the famous holiday places, so guests must be sure that the vessel is really Italian in substance and style.
“We are delighted to welcome the Costa Magica to our island. As our slogan says “Once a visitor always a friend”, therefore we are friends now. We are looking forward to many more calls from Costa Magica, this means we would have to brush up on our French and Italian,” commented Mr. Maurice Adriaens during the plaque exchange.

Maurice Adriaens, Directeur van Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) verwelkomt het Costa Cruise Lines schip Costa Magica in de haven van Kralendijk tijdens de traditionele plaque uitwisseling ceremonie die plaats vond op dinsdag 7 maart, ter herdenking van de ‘inaugural call’ van het schip op Bonaire.
Het 102.587-ton, 2.720 passagiers cruiseschip Costa Magica geeft “Cruising Italian Style” een nieuwe betekenis. Het interieur thema is Italiaanse vakantie plekken met posters zoals impressionistische schilderijen. De Alpen lijnt de muren en centreer de Magica thema in het atrium. Alle openbare ruimtes zijn genoemd naar de beroemde vakantie plaatsen, zodat de gasten zeker kunnen zijn dat het schip echt Italiaans in stof en stijl is.
“We zijn blij om de Costa Magica naar ons eiland te mogen verwelkomen. Zoals onze slogan zegt ‘Once a visitor, always a friend’, dus we zijn nu vrienden. Wij verheugen ons op veel meer schepen van Costa Magica, dit betekent dat we onze Frans en Italiaans moeten gaan opfrissen,” was de commentaar van dhr. Maurice Adriaens tijdens de uitwisseling van de plaque.
