Man arrested for breaking into Police officer’s home
A man with the initials F.R.S from Aruba is currently in police custody after he was arrested for breaking and entering in the home of a police officer. Upon returning home, police officer G.E saw an unknown man walking out of his home with 2 bags containing what later turned out to be stolen goods. After spotting the officer, the suspect began to run away. A foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was quickly apprehended by the off duty officer. All items taken from the home were recovered. The investigation is ongoing.

Police report stabbing incident
The detective department of the Sint Maarten police force is currently investigating a stabbing incident that took place at a bar on the L.B. Scott road during the weekend. What started out as a fight between four women, quickly got out of hand and resulted in two of them being injured. One woman suffered stab wounds to the face and back and had to remain at the SXM Medical Center overnight, while the other suffered lacerations to different parts of her body. She was treated and later released. The investigation is ongoing.

Police report car accident
On Sunday morning at around 04.35 am, a police patrol was dispatched to the Sucker Garden road in the vicinity of Joe Joe construction, where it was reported that a car had flipped over. Upon arrival of the patrol, ambulance personnel were already tending to the driver of the silver Hyundai Accent, who was the only person in the vehicle and complaining of pain in his lower back. The driver told officers at the scene that while in the direction of Point Blanche, an oncoming vehicle swerved into his lane and while trying to avoid a head on collision, caused his vehicle to flip and land on it’s side. No other vehicles were involved in this accident.
