TOURISM BOOK FOR ALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS ON BONAIRE
Kralendijk (September 27th, 2019) – Every year Tourism Day is celebrated worldwide on September 27.
Related to this, Tourism Corporation Bonaire, introduced a new book with valuable information about tourism to all elementary schools on the island.
This book is part of the strategic plan from TCB, which will teach our kids from young how to be more conscious about the importance of tourism, and for them to become more curious about the work opportunities in tourism on Bonaire. The tourism industry is very valuable for our island and the community of Bonaire. In reality, tourism is the main pillar of Bonaire’s economy. The book ‘Turismo na Boneiru’ is for our elementary school kids between the ages of 8 and 12.
Friday, September 27th, Business Manager Ms. Marjolein Oleana, Marketing Manager Mrs. Derchlien Vrolijk, Interim Director of TCB, Mr. Delno Tromp together with Commissioner of Tourism Mr. Elvis Tjin Asjoe and author/editor of the book ‘Turismo na Boneiru’ visited a few elementary schools to give away this educational book.
The book is written in Papiamentu by the author Denise de Jongh-Rekwest and published by her company Request Publishing. Denise has studied tourism and has worked in this branch for many years both in the Caribbean as in Europe.
The book is a colorful with beautiful illustrations and valuable information about Bonaire. Some of the topics covered in this book are What is tourism, Why is tourism important for Bonaire, Work in tourism, Maintain Bonaire clean.
Tourism Corporation Bonaire would like to thank everyone who made this project possible especially EZ AIR. TCB would like to encourage the elementary school kids and teachers to make great use of this important book.
TOERISMEBOEK VOOR ALLE BASISSCHOLEN OP BONAIRE
Kralendijk (27 september 2019) – Elk jaar wordt toerisme dag wereldwijd gevierd op 27 september.
In verband hiermee introduceerde Tourism Corporation Bonaire een nieuw boek met waardevolle informatie over toerisme aan alle basisscholen op het eiland.
Dit boek maakt deel uit van het strategische plan van TCB, dat onze kinderen van jongs af aan leert hoe ze zich meer bewust kunnen worden van het belang van toerisme, en om ze nieuwsgieriger te maken naar de kansen op werk in het toerisme op Bonaire. De toeristische sector is zeer gunstig voor ons eiland en de gemeenschap van Bonaire. In werkelijkheid is toerisme de belangrijkste pijler van het belang van de economie van Bonaire. Het boek ‘Turismo na Boneiru’ is voor onze kinderen tussen 8 en 12 jaar oud.
Vrijdag 27 september, bedrijfsmanager mej. Marjolein Oleana, marketing manager mvr. Derchlien Vrolijk, interim-directeur van TCB, dhr. Delno Tromp samen met gedeputeerde van toerisme dhr. Elvis Tjin A Sjoe en auteur/redacteur van het boek ‘Turismo na Boneiru ‘bezochten een paar basisscholen om dit educatieve boek weg te geven.
Het boek is geschreven in het Papiaments door de auteur Denise de Jongh-Rekwest en gepubliceerd door haar bedrijf Request Publishing. Denise heeft toerisme gestudeerd en heeft vele jaren in deze branche gewerkt, zowel in het Caribisch gebied als in Europa.
Het boek is kleurrijk, met prachtige illustraties en met waardevolle informatie over Bonaire. Enkele van de onderwerpen die in dit boek voorkomen zijn: Wat is toerisme, Waarom is toerisme belangrijk voor Bonaire, Werken in toerisme, Bonaire schoon houden.
Tourism Corporation Bonaire wil iedereen bedanken die dit project mogelijk heeft gemaakt, e ook EZ AIR. TCB wil alle kinderen en leerkrachten stimuleren om goed gebruik te maken van dit belangrijke boek.
