Robbery on supermarket Dutch Quarter  

The special Unit Robbery is investigating a robbery that took place on the Win Da supermarket in Nazareth road, on Thursday evening approximately 08.30 pm. According to the information, two young men enter the establishment armed with a shotgun, threatened the workers and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. The suspects fled by foot in the direction of Dutch Quarter after robbing the supermarket. The detective department is investigating this case and asking anyone who has information to share, please contact the police department or call the tip line on 9300.     

Family fight 

Two brothers with the initials A.B and J.B were arrested by the police on Thursday morning around 08.30 am, for ill-treating and threatening a family member on the Cub cactus drive in sucker-garden. According to the information gather by the police, the two brothers got in a heated argument with their cousin A M, and later threatened him with a machete.  The machete was confiscated by the police for further investigation .The suspects were brought over to the station and handed over to the detective department. After being interrogated, both suspects was given a fine and released.  

Accident on the Brouwers road 

The police department was directed on Friday morning approximately 09.30 am, to the A.J .C Brouwers road in the area of Harlold jack lookout point for a car accident.  According to the information gathered, the female driver of the car M-4203 was driving in the direction of Harold Jack, lost control and slammed into the light pole at the entrance of the lookout point. The car landed of on its side after hitting the light pole on Brouwers road. The driver of the car suffered no injuries and didn’t need any medical treatment. The traffic department is still busy with this investigation
