BONAIRE WELCOMED 16,752 STAYOVER VISITORS DURING NOVEMBER 2025
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for November 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 16,752 stayover visitors. This represents a 2.8% increase compared to November 2024, when 16,302 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 46.3% of total arrivals, with 7,761 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, accounting for 27.1% of arrivals and 4,541 visitors.

A total of 1,901 (11.3%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Germany with 381 (2.3%) visitors, Canada with 342 (2%) visitors, Belgium with 246 (1.5%) visitors, Aruba with 231 (1.4%) visitors, Colombia with 149 (0.9%) visitors, Switzerland with 147 (0.9%) visitors, Brazil with 105 (0.6%) visitors, and UK with 69 (0.4%) visitors.

US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (45.5%), diving (42.2%), and visiting friends and family (2.3%). The majority stayed at a hotel (53%), a villa (13.2%), an apartment (7.9%), their own property (6.6%), or with a relative (3.8%). US visitors primarily came from New York, Florida, Texas, California, and North Carolina. The age distribution revealed that travelers aged 55-64 represented 25.2% of the visitors, while those aged 65 and above comprised 20.7%.

Dutch visitors were mainly those traveling alone, followed by those accompanied by a partner. Most visitors came for vacation (67.2%), visited friends and family (10.7%), and for business (8.3%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (47.4%), followed by an apartment (16.5%), at a relative (9.8%), a villa (7%), and their own property (5.4%). Most Dutch visitors came from North Holland, South Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 55-64 age group (25.9%) and the 45-54 age group (17.8%) being the largest segments.

BONAIRE REINFORCES ITS DIVE LEADERSHIP AT DEMA SHOW 2025 WITH 11 INDUSTRY PARTNERS
Bonaire showcased its strong dive, tourism, and hospitality sector at the DEMA Show 2025 in Orlando, joined by 11 island partners. The Bonaire Pavilion drew significant interest from industry professionals and dive enthusiasts. Event highlights included Bonaire’s popular Happy Hour and a ScubaRadio giveaway featuring resort stays and dive packages contributed by several partners, boosting visibility for the island. Bonaire also announced its participation in the 2026 DEMA Show in New Orleans and invited interested partners to reach out for involvement.

THE ALPERT FAMILY RECEIVES RECOGNITION AS BONAIRE AMBASSADORS
On Tuesday, November 25, the Alpert family, consisting of Avi, Karen, and Avita, were honored with silver pins for their 15 years of visiting Bonaire.

“We visit Bonaire almost every year, except for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For us, Bonaire is a fascinating island with so much beauty to offer, including its dive sites, friendly people, and culinary delights. We consider Bonaire our second home,” said Karen Alpert.

For TCB, Helen Mercera and Thaysheron Abrahams presented the certificates and pins to our new ambassadors.

Join TCB for a magical Christmas Shopping Night combined with Taste of Bonaire on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 6–11 PM in Kaya Grandi and the Centrum area. Kaya Grandi will be traffic-free, creating the perfect setting for holiday shopping, food, music, and Christmas fun. Kids can meet Santa Claus, and live entertainment will fill the streets with performances by Gaita Krioyo Legends, Jom Gaiteros, Grupo Sababa, and DJ Kiart.

Enjoy a fashion show by Bonaire Model Agency, a dance performance by SPAB, plus festive treats like ayaka, oliebollen, Christmas crafts, and more. Don’t miss the Christmas Parade, starting at 7 PM at Stadion di Playa, passing through Kaya Grandi, and returning to the stadium.
