Stabbing at the Point Blanche Prison
PHILIPSBURG: On Wednesday December, 28 2016, at approximately two thirty five pm (14.35), the Police Central Dispatch was informed of a stabbing incident that had accord during an altercation between inmates at the Point Blanche Prison Facility. A patrol was immediately dispatched to asses the situation. The victim was treated by paramedics on the scene then transported to the medical center. Detectives and members of the forensic team conducted their investigation on the crime scene, and a person of interest was arrested. Detectives are busy investigating the circumstances surrounding this case. Any further update will be given in a subsequent press release.

Trailer slips off its bedding
Philipsburg: On Wednesday December, 28 2016, at approximately three thirty pm (15.30) a container slipped off the bedding of its semi trailer while traveling on the L.B. Scott road. This incident occurred at the moment the semi drove onto the Churchill roundabout. No one was hurt as a result of this incident. Traffic had to be diverted by police patrols until the container could be securely heisted and placed back onto its bedding.
