PERSVERKLARING VAN GEZAGHEBBER EDISON RIJNA

Op 12 juni aanstaande word ik ondervraagd door de Rijksrecherche. Dit gesprek vloeit voort

bij DROB over o.a. het onterecht toewijzen van stukken grond en valsheid in geschrift waarin
twee ambtenaren van het OLB door het Openbaar Ministerie als verdachte zijn
aangemerkt, vervolgd en veroordeeld. Daarna zijn zij door het OLB ontslagen. Een van de
veroordeelden heeft gemeend aangifte tegen mij te moeten doen. Deze aangifte heeft
betrekking op een aanvraag die ik in 2013 als toenmalig directeur eigenaar van het bedrijf
Bon Recycling B.V. heb gedaan voor een stuk grond in erfpacht en de bouw en recycling
activiteiten daarna op het terrein.
De aangever beweert dat ik hierbij niet volgens de procedures zou hebben gehandeld. Ik
ben er van overtuigd dat ik correct handelde. Ik zie het gesprek met de Rijksrecherche in
vertrouwen tegemoet en zal vanzelfsprekend volledig meewerken.
Het feit dat ik onderwerp ben van onderzoek door de Rijksrecherche, ervaar ik in mijn huidige
functie als gezaghebber uiteraard als ongemakkelijk. Zoals u weet heb ik mij de afgelopen tijd
bijzonder ingezet voor transparant bestuur. Bestuur waar integriteit centraal staat en geen
ruimte is voor twijfels over de betrouwbaarheid van bestuurders. Ik wil benadrukken dat ik in
mijn rol als gezaghebber nooit iets gedaan heb gedaan dat verband houdt met het onderzoek
dat ik noemde. Het onderzoek gaat bovendien over een periode waarin ik nog geen
gezaghebber was.
Ik zal binnenkort mijn verklaring afleggen bij de Rijksrecherche. In het belang van het
onderzoek mag en kan ik geen mededelingen doen over het verloop van het onderzoek. De
woordvoering van dit soort onderzoeken ligt zoals gebruikelijk bij het Openbaar Ministerie, in
