Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for September 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 12,196 stayover visitors. This represents a 13.1% increase compared to September 2024, when 10,779 visitors arrived.
Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 47.2% of total arrivals, with 5,760 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, making up 21.3% of arrivals with 2,601 visitors.
A total of 1,878 (15.4%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Aruba with 367 (3%) visitors, Germany with 269 (2.2%) visitors, Colombia with 141 (1.2%) visitors, Belgium with 106 (0.9%) visitors, Brazil with 85 (0.8%) visitors, Canada with 80 (0.7%) visitors, Argentina with 80 (0.7%) visitors, and Switzerland with 73 (0.6%) visitors.
US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for diving (46.3%) and vacation (40.5%). The majority stayed at a hotel (60.7%), a villa (8.4%), their own property (6.2%), an apartment (5.4%), or with a relative (3.6%). US visitors primarily came from Florida, New York, Texas, California, and North Carolina. The age distribution revealed that travelers aged 55-64 represented 29.2% of the visitors, while those aged 65 and above comprised 21.3%.
Dutch visitors were mainly accompanied by a partner, followed by those traveling alone. Most visitors came for vacation (68.7%) and visited friends and family (9.2%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (53.9%), followed by an apartment (11%), at a relative (8.1%), a villa (6.5%), and their own property (4.6%). Most Dutch visitors came from South Holland, North Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 55-64 age group (25.6%) and the 25-34 age group (23.5%) being the largest segments.
