Police Force of Sint Maarten Announces Launch of Police Sports Association Website
Wed Aug 12 2026
The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is pleased to announce the official launch of the new website of the Police Sports Association (PSA), a sports and community-focused association linked to the Police Force of Sint Maarten.
The new official website, www.psapolice.sx, provides the public with a modern and accessible platform to learn more about the Police Sports Association, its activities, programs, partnerships, and its ongoing contribution to community engagement through sports and outreach initiatives.
The Police Sports Association plays an important role in supporting positive interaction between members of the Police Force and the community. Through sports, youth activities, school visits, community initiatives, and other outreach programs, the Association contributes to building stronger relationships and encouraging positive engagement between law enforcement and the people of Sint Maarten.
The launch of the new website represents another important step in strengthening that connection. Visitors can use the platform to learn more about the PSA, discover its activities and initiatives, access practical crime prevention and community safety information, and learn about the Association’s sponsors and partners.
The website was developed in partnership with local digital solutions company TelExcel Caribbean B.V. (TEC), under the direction of TEC Director Bob Espitia. The platform was designed to provide the PSA with a central digital presence through which it can communicate with the public and showcase the many initiatives carried out throughout the year.
“The launch of our new website is an exciting development for the Police Sports Association. It gives us a modern platform through which we can communicate more effectively with the community and showcase the positive work being done through sports and community engagement,” said Inspector Claudio Ellis, President of the Police Sports Association.
The website also features information related to community safety and crime prevention. Through these resources, the PSA aims to contribute to greater public awareness and encourage residents and visitors to take an active role in promoting safety within their communities.
The Police Force of Sint Maarten recognizes the important contribution made by the Police Sports Association in fostering positive relationships with the community and particularly with young people. Sports and community activities provide opportunities for police officers and members of the public to interact in a positive and informal environment, helping to strengthen trust and cooperation.
The PSA also wishes to recognize and thank its sponsors and community partners whose continued support contributes to the Association’s programs and activities.
The website launch forms part of the PSA’s broader communication and community safety initiatives. Later this month, the Association is expected to introduce the 2026 St. Maarten Community Safety Guide, an interactive digital publication produced in partnership with TEC.
The Community Safety Guide will provide practical crime prevention information, community policing and safety awareness content, as well as information about initiatives aimed at strengthening the relationship between the Police Force and the community. The publication will also include a special tribute to the late Officer Gamali “Benji” Benjamin.
Inspector Ethelwoldus “Joe” Josepha, Head of Communications of the Police Force of Sint Maarten, welcomed the launch of the new platform.
“Communication is an essential part of modern policing and community engagement. The PSA website provides another avenue through which the public can learn about the Association, its activities, and the positive initiatives being carried out in partnership with the community. We encourage residents, businesses, community organizations, parents, and young people to visit the website and discover more about the work of the Police Sports Association.”
The Police Force of Sint Maarten encourages the public to visit the Police Sports Association’s new official website at www.psapolice.sx and explore its programs, activities, community initiatives, safety resources, sponsors, and partnerships.
The Police Sports Association, in connection with the Police Force of Sint Maarten, remains committed to using sports and community engagement as a means of strengthening relationships, promoting positive interaction, and contributing to a safer and stronger Sint Maarten
