Promoting Maternal and Child Health Care with Rotary Mid-Isle
Last night, Collective Prevention Services (CPS) was well represented during a special meeting hosted by the Rotary Club of St. Martin Mid-Isle, in observance of Maternal and Child Health Care Month — one of the many important themes celebrated by Rotary International.
Ivanca had the privilege of presenting on behalf of CPS in her role as a Public Health Nurse, where she shared valuable information on a range of topics affecting mothers, children, and families in our community.
Topics included:
The importance of maternal and child health care
Healthy pregnancy practices
Reproductive health and family planning
Postpartum depression and mental wellness
Early childhood development and monitoring
Community support and education
Addressing key health concerns like hypertension, diabetes in pregnancy, and more
The discussion was meaningful and interactive, and it was a great opportunity to engage community members in understanding the support services and resources available to promote healthier futures for mothers and children across our island.
