WILLEMSTAD – September 12, 2025 – The Curaçao Tourist Board is pleased to announce positive tourism performance, recording a solid 4% rise in stayover arrivals compared to August of the previous year. A total of 60,690 stayover visitors were welcomed in August 2025.
The performance by region was positive from both South and North America. South America led with a 17% increase in arrivals, while North America grew by 7% in comparison to August 2024. In contrast, both Europe and the Caribbean region recorded declines of 5% and 7%, respectively. The European and North American region remained the top source regions in absolute number of arrivals, recording 23,511 and 17,061 stayover visitors respectively. According to Immigration Card data, visitors stayed an average of 8.2 nights during the month of August.

The Netherlands: Curaçao welcomed 19,573 visitors from the Netherlands in August 2025, reflecting a 7% decline compared to August 2024. Of these visitors, 55% stayed in non-resort accommodations, while 45% opted for resort hotels. The average length of stay of the Dutch visitor was 11.9 nights.
United States of America: Out of USA, a total of 15,773 arrivals is recorded in August 2025, a 7% increase compared to the same period last year. This confirms the U.S. as one of Curaçao’s key markets, showing consistent growth. In terms of accommodation, 70% of visitors chose resort hotels, while 30% stayed in alternative accommodations. The average length of stay was 5.8 nights.
Colombia: Visitor arrivals from Colombia totaled 4,991 in August 2025, marking a 17% increase compared to August 2024. Colombian visitors stayed an average of 5.2 nights, with 58% choosing resort hotels.

The first eight months of 2025 have shown strong tourism performance, with Curaçao welcoming a total of 1.118,081 visitors. This includes 527,412 stayover arrivals, 31,028 day-trippers, and 559,641 cruise passengers, reflecting an overall growth of 7% compared to the same period last year. The total arrivals in August represented a growth of 23% compared to last year, further confirming Curaçao’s growing appeal to our visitors.
