WILLEMSTAD – Major League Baseball (MLB) a restablesé ku éksito su prestigioso Elite Development Program (EDP) na Kòrsou i awor, den su di dos aña, ta prepará pa amplia e programa ku un grupo nobo di hungadó. E tryout nan lo tuma lugá otro siman djárason, 8 di òktober 2025, na Tio Daou Ballpark.

Ademas, e hungadó basa riba su habilidat i desaroyo den e programa por gana e oportunidat pa partisipá den torneonan òf asina yama ‘showcase’ nan sanshoná pa MLB, manera e ‘Breakthrough Series Invitational’ na Vero Beach, Florida, i e ‘MLB College Showcase Tour’ na Phoenix, Arizona.

Rekisito pa partisipá:

Tei na tempu (30 minüt promé) pa registrashon i ‘warmups’.
Bin ku bo sédula.

E hungadó mester trese su mes unifòrm i material di baseball (wante, bate, catcher’s gear).
Mester yena un ‘waiver form’ ku lo mester keda firmá pa un mayor òf tutor legal. Si e dokumento aki no ta yená i firmá e hungadó lo no por partisipá.

Edat 13–16 aña: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Edat 16–18 aña: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

MLB Announces Tryouts at Tio Daou Ballpark

WILLEMSTAD – Major League Baseball (MLB) has successfully reestablished its prestigious Elite
Development Program (EDP) on Curaçao and, now in its second year, is preparing to expand the program with a new group of players. Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Tio Daou
Ballpark.
The EDP Curaçao gives young athletes the opportunity to further develop their baseball skills under MLB standards while opening pathways to professional contracts or college scholarships in the United States.
In addition, players may earn the chance to compete in MLB-sanctioned tournaments and showcases, including the Breakthrough Series Invitational in Vero Beach, Florida, and the MLB College Showcase
Tour in Phoenix, Arizona.
As is tradition, MLB will send a team of international coaches and scouts to oversee the tryouts and select the most promising players. The Curaçao Baseball Development Foundation (CBDF), MLB’s local
partner, will invite youth baseball teams and academies across the island to send their players to the tryouts.
Requirements for participation:
 Be on time (30 minutes prior) for registration and warmups.
 Bring your ID.
 Players must bring their own uniform and baseball equipment.
 A completed waiver form, signed by a parent or legal guardian, is mandatory. Without this signed waiver, players will not be allowed to participate.
Tryout schedule – Tio Daou Ballpark – Wednesday, October 8, 2025:
 Ages 13–16: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
 Ages 16–18: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The Elite program is free of charge and is open to youth athletes aged 13 to 18. Selected players will train three times per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 4:00–7:00 p.m.) at Tio Daou Ballpark,
under the guidance of six accredited international and local MLB coaches.
