The National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS) Reflects on a Successful Week in Bonaire
In November 2025, the National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS) returned to Bonaire with 130 divers for a week of diving, education, and community connection. The members explored Bonaire’s vibrant underwater world through shore and boat dives, and engaged with local businesses and artisans.
During their week-long stay, the dive members took part in workshops and certifications, including scientific diving, fish identification, coral awareness, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and youth educational sessions through NABSYES. The group also enjoyed an island tour and participated in a beach clean-up. As a token of appreciation, the Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) team supported the NABS participants by providing discounted merchandise and promotional items, enhancing their overall experience on the island.
The NABS members extend their gratitude to all local dive operators, sponsors, and the community of Bonaire for making the week truly memorable!
