Hair Stories 2026 was a three-day educational series presented by True Roots in partnership with the Art Agency Foundation and held at Axum Art Café from February 26–28, 2026.
The program explored the cultural, historical, and social significance of Black hair through presentations, dialogue, and hands-on learning. The Honorable Minister of Education, Culture, Youth & Sport, Melissa Gumbs, joined local students and a representative of Teen Times for a youth panel conversation reflecting on identity, expression, and experiences through the lens of afro-textured hair in schools.
