FRAKSHON PNP LANCEERT VERNIEUWDE IDENTITEIT EN STRATEGISCHE VISIE
WILLEMSTAD, CURAÇAO – 21 maart 2026 — Precies één jaar na de Statenverkiezingen van 21 maart 2025, presenteert de fractie van de Partido Nashonal di Pueblo (PNP) een vernieuwd strategisch communicatietraject. In haar rol als de grootste oppositiefractie in de Staten, benadrukt de partij met een nieuwe huisstijl en een aangescherpte politieke visie haar toewijding aan transparantie, goed bestuur en een diepe connectie met de ontwikkeling van de bevolking van Curaçao.
De verantwoordelijkheid van Nashonal
Na een jaar van strategisch analyseren, hard werken en oppositie voeren in het parlement, heeft de fractie onder leiding van Fractieadviseur Gwendell Mercelina, Jr. de afgelopen maanden gewerkt aan een professionaliseringsslag. “Als grootste oppositiepartij dragen we een extra zware verantwoordelijkheid. Het volk kijkt naar ons om de regering scherp te houden en een hoopvol alternatief te bieden,” aldus Mercelina. “Onze documenten en uitingen mogen geen simpele stukken papier zijn, maar dragers van de Kurason Nashonal (Het Nationale Hart).”

De nieuwe communicatiestijl is gebouwd op de fundering van de PNP “Agènda 2025-2029” en hanteert een heldere parlementaire methodologie: Kontrolá (Kritisch toezicht houden als leider van de oppositie), Proponé (Constructieve oplossingen voorstellen) en Mehorá (Zorg bewaken om de levenskwaliteit te verbeteren). Dit vormt de groene draad in alle voorstellen, berichten en parlementaire vragen van de fractie.
Daarnaast zal de fractie haar visie consequent toetsen aan de vier pijlers van menselijke ontwikkeling: spiritueel, mentaal, fysiek en sociaal welzijn. De fractie stapt af van traditionele politieke retoriek en blijft kiezen voor een toegankelijke, respectvolle maar daadkrachtige ‘tone of voice’ die elke burger op Curaçao moet aanspreken.

In its role as the largest opposition faction in Parliament, the party emphasizes its commitment to transparency, good governance, and a deep connection with the development of the people of Curaçao through a new corporate identity and a sharpened political vision.
The responsibility of Nashonal
After a year of strategic analysis, hard work, and leading the opposition in parliament, the faction, under the guidance of Faction Advisor Gwendell Mercelina, Jr., has been working on a professionalization push in recent months. “As the largest opposition party, we bear an extra heavy responsibility. The people look to us to keep the government sharp and to offer a hopeful alternative,” said Mercelina. “Our documents and statements should not be simple pieces of paper, but carriers of the Kurason Nashonal (The National Heart).”
