The convention featured an address from Acting Island Governor Shamara Nicholson, along with a presentation giving a practical guide to cyber resilience by the ICT Team from the Department of Information Services.
Focused on strengthening regional connections, the convention brought together key partners and stakeholders to raise awareness of cybersecurity, cybercrime, and emerging digital risks. Through knowledge-sharing and creating opportunities for collaboration, the event aimed to support the development of practical solutions to evolving cyber threats, while also giving space for networking for professionals in the field.
“The .BQ Convention plays a vital role in uniting organizations to confront cybersecurity challenges,” said Team Lead of Information Services, Lorenzo Caines. “We encourage the community to take an active role in learning more about digital risks, and protecting themselves against cyber threats.”
Following the event on Saba, the convention continued on to St. Eustatius, where members of the ICT team also participated and contributed to discussions.
