Members of Parliament met with Minister of Finance Marinka J. Gumbs to continue discussions on the draft 2026 national budget of Sint Maarten.

This meeting was a continuation of the budget discussions that were adjourned on June 26, 2026, and provided Members with an opportunity to seek further clarification on the proposed budget.

As agreed, Members will submit their written questions by July 2, 2026. Today’s meeting was subsequently adjourned and is scheduled to reconvene on July 6, 2026, when the Central Committee will ratify the questions before forwarding them to the Government for response
