GRAND CARNIVAL PARADE ON ST. EUSTATIUS CONCLUDES WITHOUT INCIDENTS

Today, Sunday the 27th of July, the Grand Carnival Parade took place on St. Eustatius. The parade was originally scheduled to start at 2:00 PM, but due to weather conditions, it set off at 4:15 PM from Sandy Road and ended at 6:55 PM near Carnival Village.

Before the parade began, all drivers underwent driver’s license and insurance checks, as well as a breathalyzer test. All drivers passed the breathalyzer test. One driver tested positive for alcohol but remained below the legal limit. Officers reminded the driver that no further alcohol consumption was permitted while driving in the parade.

The Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) would once again like to thank everyone for their cooperation and calls on everyone to show the same level of cooperation tomorrow during the burning of King Momo at Carnival Village.
