E material ta konsistí di videonan edukativo di turismo, un map di guia pa e maestro, un buki di tarea i un pasport di turismo pa e alumno. E promé seshon tabata dirigí riba maestronan di enseñansa spesial i e di dos seshon tabata pa maestronan di skol di fundeshi grupo 6. E dos seshonnan huntu a konta ku partisipashon di 62 maestro di e diferente direktivanan di skol.

CTB Equips Teachers with New Tourism Educational Material
WILLEMSTAD – September 29, 2026 – The Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) recently organized two sessions to explain and walk through the tourism material specially designed for primary school Group 6 and for special education schools. The material consists of educational tourism videos, a teacher’s guide, a workbook, and a tourism passport for the students. The first session was aimed at special education teachers, and the second session was for primary school Group 6 teachers. Together, the two sessions were attended by 62 teachers from various school boards.
Mr. Guido Rojer delivered opening remarks at the first session on behalf of Minister Middelhof, and CTB Managing Director Mr. Muryad de Bruin opened the second session. This year marks four years since CTB, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education, began introducing tourism into schools, starting in 2022 with primary school Group 5 and special education schools. In group 6, students will cover the following topics: jobs in the tourism industry, the importance of keeping Curaçao clean, marketing and good behavior, culture and tourism, and a review of the material covered in Group 5. Tourism is more than just welcoming tourists; it is connected to our culture, our economy, and our daily lives. These topics are reflected throughout the material developed for primary schools Group 6.
CTB is pleased with the teachers’ active participation during the sessions. Teachers play an important role in helping the next generation understand and appreciate tourism’s contribution to Curaçao’s economy. With the material developed by CTB, teachers now have a practical and engaging tool to bring tourism education closer to their students.
