NOODVERORDENING AFGEGEVEN DOOR GEZAGHEBBER EDISON RIJNA

Kralendijk – Gezaghebber Edison Rijna geeft een noodverordening af als gevolg van de huidige weersomstandigheden die zich sinds 10.45 voordoen aan de westkust van Bonaire. De noodverordening geld van 4 oktober 2016 19.00 tot 07.00 op 5 oktober 2016.

Vanwege de hevige golfslag vreest het Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire voor de veiligheid van de bewoners van kustwoningen aan de westkust. Bewoners dienen zich volgens artikel 7 van de noodverordening naar het opvangcentrum te begeven en zich daar te registreren. Getroffenen kunnen sinds 19.00 terecht in de sporthal te Kaya Amsterdam. Hier zijn medewerkers van het Rode Kruis en Samenleving & Zorg aanwezig. Alle basisbenodigdheden zijn aldaar aanwezig. Men dient wel eigen beddengoed en persoonlijke goederen mee te nemen.

De kustwoningen worden tot vijf oktober 07.00 beveiligd door de politie, beveiligers, marechaussee en medewerkers van de dienst Toezicht & Handhaving.
De weg vanaf het kruispunt E.E.G Boulevard en kaya IR Randolf Statius Van Eps is momenteel afgesloten. Volgens de noodverordening is het voor iedereen die niet woonachtig is binnen het getroffen gebied strikt verboden zich in dit gebied te begeven.

In geval van nood kan het noodnummer 911 gebeld worden. Voor verdere vragen kan er tot 21.00 gebeld worden naar 7179981, 7179982 en 7179983.

EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ISSUED BY GOVERNOR EDISON RIJNA

Kralendijk – Governor Edison Rijna indicates an emergency ordinance as a result of the current weather situation occurring since 10:45 on the west coast of Bonaire. The emergency ordinance is valid from 19.00 October 4th, 2016 through 07:00 on October 5th, 2016.

Due to the heavy swell the Public Entity Bonaire fears for the safety of inhabitants of coastal properties on the west coast. Residents have to go to the shelter under Article 7 of the emergency regulation and need to register there. Victims can enter the shelter at the sports hall at Kaya Amsterdam since 19:00. Employees of the Red Cross and de department of Society & Care are present there. All the basics are available. Own bedding and personal property is required.

Coastal homes will be protected by the police, security guards, military police and employees of the department Surveillance & Enforcement until 07.00 of the fifth of October.
The road from the intersection E.E.G Boulevard and kaya IR Randolf Statius Van Eps is currently closed. This area is strictly forbidden for any non-residential according to the emergency ordinance.
