Kralendijk (29 december 2016) – Op maandag 12 december eindigde de derde editie van de Bonaire Photo Contest met succes. De wedstrijd vond plaats van 5 september tot 15 november 2016. Het was een moeilijke taak voor zowel de internationale als lokale jury om de zes winnende foto’s te kiezen, aangezien dat alle 694 foto’s echt uitzonderlijk waren. Deze editie had deelnemers uit vele landen over de hele wereld. De zes gelukkige winnaars zijn: twee uit Brazilië, 1 uit Oostenrijk, Venezuela, Canada en Verenigde Staten.

De grote vernieuwing van de fotowedstrijd dit jaar was “Friends in network” en het stimuleerde het evenement naar een hoger niveau. De wedstrijd had een paneel van jury en een paneel van “network audiences”. Voor een week was de Bonaire sociale media een geweldig platform voor deelnemers om“likes” uit te wisselen en om meer punten te krijgen op de geclassificeerde foto’s voordat de jury de winnaars selecteerden.

Alle bezoekers die in 2016 naar Bonaire kwamen werden uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan de wedstrijd, en ook de bezoekers die in 2014 en 2015 op het eiland verbleven. Fotografen konden deelnemen met hun beste foto’s in twee unieke categorieën: onderwater en bovenzijde met prijzen voor de 1e, 2e en 3e plaats van de sponsors Buddy Dive, Eden Beach, Bellafonte, SunRentals en Roadrunners.

TOURISM CORPORATION BONAIRE ANNOUNCES BONAIRE PHOTOCONTEST WINNERS

Kralendijk (December 29th, 2016) – On Monday December 12th the third edition of the Bonaire Photo Contest ended successfully. The contest took place from September 5th to November 15th 2016. It has been a difficult task for both the international as the local judges to select the six winning photos, due to the fact that all the 694 photos received were truly exceptional. This edition had participants from many countries around the World. The six lucky winners are: two from Brazil, one from Austria, Venezuela, Canada and United States.
The great innovation of the photo competition this year was “Friends in Network” boosting the event to a higher level. The contest counted with a panel of judges and a panel of network audiences. For a week, Bonaire social media was a great platform for final participants to exchange “likes” and get more score on the classified photos before the judges selected the winners.
All visitors of Bonaire were invited to participate in the contest, those that came in 2016 and past visitors who stayed on island in 2014 and 2015. Photographers participated with their best photos in two (2) unique categories Underwater and Topside awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with great prizes from sponsors Buddy Dive, Eden Beach, Bellafonte, SunRentals and Roadrunners.
