Oman, which is normally a dry country with deserts, got hit yesterday by the category 3 major hurricane (severe cyclonic storm) Mekunu dumping huge amounts of precipitation. This is certainly rare for Oman. This is taking place just days after the Tropical Cyclone Sagar hit the country of Somalia and was the strongest cyclone to ever hit the country.
