Around Town Jump-up a success

The Golden Balloon around Town Jump which was held on Friday April 5th 2019 was a success.

The Jump-up which was well attended by revellers and onlookers started at 08.00 p.m. in Madame Estate headed into Philipsburg and ended on the Soualiga Boulevard in front of the Festival Village.

 

A total of six persons were arrested. Two of these persons were arrested for excessive alcohol use, two for in proper behaviour and two for the possession of an illegal fire arm. All suspects were taken to the Philipsburg Police Station where four of them paid a fine before being released. The two suspects for the possession of and illegal fire-arm remain in custody for further investigation.
