13 Raiding Squadron van Korps Mariniers traint op Curaçao
De afgelopen weken heeft het 13e Raiding Squadron, bestaande uit ruim 100 mariniers, getraind op Curaçao. Dit hebben ze samen met de opleiding van Gevechts Schietinstructeurs gedaan. Door de kruisbestuiving van de opleiding en de training hebben de pelotons optimaal aan hun vaardigheden kunnen werken. Tijdens de opleiding zijn 13 mariniers opgeleid tot gevechtsschietinstructeur.
De nadruk van de training van het 13 RSQN lag op Live Fire schietoefeningen, waarbij met alle wapensystemen waarover de eenheid beschikt is geoefend. Dit zijn meer dan 10 soorten wapens. De oefening begon kleinschalig en is uiteindelijk opgebouwd naar Squadronniveau van ruim 100 mariniers.
De Curaçaose militairen waren ook betrokken bij de oefening en hebben de nodige ondersteuning geleverd.
