WILLEMSTAD – 3 di aprel 2024 – Resientemente un grupo di 12 persona ku ta laborá den industria di hospitalidat a kuminsá un kurso pa bira Leermeester / Instruktor sertifiká. E kurso di Instruktor ta forma parti di e programa di training Her & Bijscholingstraject Hospitality Sector. E instruktornan ta esnan responsabel na e leerbedrijf pa guia e kursistanan. Ya kaba un total di 33 persona a pasa e kurso di Instruktor ku éksito.
E kurso ta tuma lugá un biaha pa siman durante un periodo di 7 siman i ta konsistí di entre otro e siguiente módulonan: komunikashon, e proseso di introdukshon di un trahadó nobo, abilidatnan didáktiko, téknika di kombersashon, kon pa duna feedback, stimulá i motivá e trahadó nobo i kon pa kondusí un kombersashon di evaluashon na un manera efektivo. Minister di Desaroyo Ekonómiko, sr. E programa di training, Her & Bijscholingstraject Hospitality Sector ta resortá bou di Ministerio di Desaroyo Ekonómiko (MEO) miéntras Ofisina di Turismo di Kòrsou (CTB) ta responsabel pa implementashon di e programa. E programa ta keda ehekutá den estrecho kolaborashon ku Ministerio di Labor (SOAW), Ministerio di Enseñansa (OWCS) i partnernan den sektor privá. Den e periodo tras di lomba a ehekutá training di guia turístiko, resepshonista, dunadó di masashi, asistente di kòki, weiter, asistente di bartènder, artesano i housekeeping. Start Training Instructor Course for Hospitality Education Program
33 people already completed the course successfully
WILLEMSTAD – April 3, 2024 – Recently, a new group of 12 individuals working in the hospitality industry started a course to become certified training instructors. This course is part of the Hospitality Training Program, and the individuals will be responsible for guiding trainees at their respective learning company. To date, a total of 33 people have successfully completed the training instructor course.
The course takes place once a week for a period of 7 weeks and consists of several modules, including communication, the onboarding process for new employees, didactic skills, conversation techniques, how to give feedback, methods to stimulate and motivate new employees, and effective performance evaluation conversations. The Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Ruisandro Cijntje, applauds the start of another group and states that “the guidance of the training instructor is extremely important and contributes to a better outcome for participants in the Hospitality Training Program”. Additionally, the Minister highlights that “the training program contributes to the industry by investing in equipping more employees in the hospitality industry to serve as training instructors. This not only benefits the current training program but also ensures that the acquired knowledge can be utilized to guide all other employees who will join the company in the future.”
The training program is managed by the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), and the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) is responsible for the implementation of the program. The program is executed in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labor (SOAW), the Ministry of Education (OWCS), and private sector partners. In the past months several training programs were conducted for tour guides, receptionists, massage therapists, assistant cooks, waiters, assistant bartenders, artisans, and housekeeping staff. Over 30 companies are contributing to the project as learning companies, thereby providing participants with an opportunity to gain practice and find employment in the hospitality industry.
