Tur aña di nobo, nos studiantenan di ISC GIN ta organisá diferente tipo di aktividat ku ta brinda servisio i ayudo. Esaki ta inkluí entre otro mantené ISC su Campus liber di uzo di plèstik den tur forma, organisá dia pa muchanan di ménos rekurso pa haña un eksperensia dor di bin “shop” na ISC, bishitá kasnan di grandi, rekoudá kuminda pa bestia, buska mobilario pa diferente skol i hopi mas.

E evento akí ta konosí komo ‘GIN Shopping Experience’ òf mas bien Clothing Day.
A transformá e gymzaal na ISC den un pakus grandi kaminda alrededor di 500 mucha, for di diferente fundashon, a haña e invitashon pa pasa un dia spesial pa nan “shop” i haña e eksperensha akí.
E aña akí tambe, esaki tabata un éksito kompleto. E muchanan a disfrutá di e ambiente, buskando paña, ko’i hunga i algun otro asesorio di nan mes eskoho.
Nos studiantenan di GIN a trese un brio di goso den bida di e muchanan akí. Preparashonnan a start algun siman pasá kaminda e miembronan mes a kolekta e pañanan, surti nan na sais, set-up i transformá e gym pa hasi e eksperensia, unu plasentero pa e muchanan ku a bin “shop”.
E evento aki tbt un gran éksito, mirando kon e muchanan a disfrutá di e eksperensia di por a shop pa nan mes i e sonrisa ku nan tbt Sali ku ne for di e gymzaal.
Ademas di proveé paña i asesorio, e proyekto ke enfoká riba e parti kaminda hobennan por hasi un diferensia den komuniká dor di demostrá nan kompashon i traha den tim. E evento aki ta un rekordatorio ku akshonnan chikitu pero hasi ku amor i dedikashon tin un impakto duradero. No solamente na a yuda nan komunidat pero nan duna un ehèmpel pa otro por sigui.

GIN Shopping Experience: ISC Students Make an Impact in the Community
Willemstad, February 15, 2025 – The Global Issues Network (GIN) at the International School of Curaçao (ISC) is part of a worldwide network of student organizations with a mission to empower young people to create positive change locally, regionally, and globally.
On Saturday, February 15, a group of dedicated GIN students from ISC organized a special community event: the GIN Shopping Experience. This annual event provides people in need with the opportunity to shop for clothing and accessories free of charge. This year marked the 11th edition, continuing a long-standing tradition of social engagement.
The students took full responsibility for organizing the event. They launched a donation drive, sorted and categorized the donated items by size and type to ensure a smooth shopping experience, and collaborated with Curacao Cares Foundation/Cura Doet Cura Doet to reach different organizations in the community.
The school gymnasium was transformed into a real store. Around 500 children from local foundations were invited to shop for free, selecting clothes, toys, and accessories of their choice, giving them a true shopping experience without any cost.
The event was a great success. The children thoroughly enjoyed picking out their own clothing and accessories, which not only met their basic needs but also boosted their confidence and self-esteem.
Beyond providing clothing and accessories, this project fostered a strong sense of community, demonstrating how young people can make a real difference through compassion and teamwork.
Their story serves as a powerful reminder that small actions, when done with heart, can create a lasting impact. Through their creativity and dedication, the GIN students not only helped their community but also set an inspiring example for others to follow.

GIN Shopping Experience: ISC-studenten maken impact in de gemeenschap
Willemstad, 15 februari 2025 – De Global Issues Network (GIN) van de International School of Curaçao (ISC) is onderdeel van een wereldwijd netwerk van studentenorganisaties met als missie jongeren te stimuleren om lokaal, regionaal en wereldwijd een positieve verandering teweeg te brengen.
Op zaterdag 15 februari organiseerden een groep toegewijde GIN-studenten van ISC een bijzondere gemeenschapservaring: de GIN Shopping Experience. Dit jaarlijkse evenement biedt mensen in nood de kans om gratis kleding en accessoires uit te zoeken. Dit jaar vond de 11e editie plaats, waarmee een lange traditie van sociale betrokkenheid werd voortgezet.
De studenten namen de volledige organisatie van het evenement op zich. Ze zetten een inzamelingsactie op, sorteerden en categoriseerden de gedoneerde items op maat en type, zodat het winkelen overzichtelijk en toegankelijk werd. Daarnaast werkten ze samen met Curacao Cares Foundation/Cura Doet om verschillende organisaties binnen de gemeenschap te bereiken.
De gymzaal van de school werd omgetoverd tot een echte winkel. Ongeveer 500 kinderen van lokale stichtingen werden uitgenodigd om gratis kleding, speelgoed en accessoires uit te zoeken, waardoor ze een echte winkelervaring beleefden – zonder kosten.
Het evenement was een groot succes. De kinderen genoten zichtbaar van het kiezen van hun eigen kleding en accessoires, wat niet alleen voorzag in hun basisbehoeften, maar ook hun zelfvertrouwen en eigenwaarde versterkte.
Naast het aanbieden van kleding en accessoires, bevorderde dit project een sterk gemeenschapsgevoel en liet het zien hoe jonge mensen door compassie en samenwerking een verschil kunnen maken.
Hun verhaal herinnert ons eraan dat kleine acties, uitgevoerd met een groot hart, een blijvende impact kunnen hebben. Met hun creativiteit en toewijding hebben de GIN-studenten niet alleen hun gemeenschap geholpen, maar ook een inspirerend voorbeeld gesteld voor anderen.
