JCI Dutch Caribbean signs strategic partnership with Fekoskan – Credit Union
Youth Council to empower youth development

Willemstad – JCI Dutch Caribbean (JCI) proudly announces the signing of a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the youth council of Fekoskan – the Credit
Union Youth Council (CUYC) on May 16, 2025. This agreement marks an important step
in their joint mission to promote youth development in Curaçao and the wider
Caribbean region.
Driven by shared values and a strong belief in youth as key agents of change, JCI and
CUYC are joining forces to support young people in their professional, financial, and
cooperative development. The MoU represents the beginning of a structured
collaboration focused on leadership development, financial education, and the
promotion of cooperative values.
Through joint initiatives, projects, and educational opportunities, both organizations
aim to inspire youth to take on leadership roles, strengthen their financial literacy, and
become actively involved in their communities.
“This partnership aligns perfectly with JCI’s mission to empower young people to create
positive change,” said the National President of JCI Dutch Caribbean Richards Martina.
“Working with CUYC allows us to expand our impact and support youth in becoming
both professionals and responsible citizens.”
JCI Dutch Caribbean and CUYC will soon present their first joint project, laying the
foundation for a future where young people are more empowered, aware, and engaged
in building a better society.

JCI Dutch Caribbean en Fekoskan – CUYC ondertekenen Memorandum of
Understanding voor versterking van ondernemerschap en financiële educatie in
het Caribisch deel van het Koninkrijk

Willemstad – JCI Dutch Caribbean (JCI) kondigt met trots aan dat op 16 mei 2025 een
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is ondertekend met het jongerenbestuur van
Fekoskan – de Credit Union Youth Council (CUYC). Deze overeenkomst markeert een
belangrijke stap in de gezamenlijke missie om de ontwikkeling van jongeren op Curaçao
en in de regio te bevorderen.
Geïnspireerd door gedeelde waarden en de overtuiging dat jongeren de sleutel zijn tot
een veerkrachtige toekomst, onderstrepen JCI en CUYC met deze samenwerking hun
gezamenlijke inzet voor het versterken van jongeren op professioneel, financieel en
coöperatief vlak. De ondertekening van het MoU vormt het begin van een structurele
samenwerking gericht op leiderschapsontwikkeling, financiële educatie en het
promoten van coöperatieve waarden onder jongeren.
Via gezamenlijke initiatieven, projecten en educatieve kansen willen beide organisaties
jongeren inspireren om leiderschap op zich te nemen, hun financiële kennis te vergroten
en actief bij te dragen aan hun gemeenschap.
“Deze samenwerking sluit perfect aan bij de missie van JCI om jongeren in staat te
stellen positieve veranderingen te creëren,” aldus de National President of JCI Dutch
Caribbean Richards Martina. “Door samen te werken met CUYC, bundelen we onze
krachten om jongeren niet alleen professioneel te laten groeien, maar ook als
verantwoordelijke burgers met een sterk gemeenschapsgevoel.”
Binnenkort zullen JCI Dutch Caribbean en CUYC hun eerste gezamenlijke project
presenteren, dat als fundament zal dienen voor een toekomst waarin jongeren sterker,
bewuster en meer betrokken zijn bij de opbouw van hun samenleving.
