Team Sint Maarten delivered an exceptional performance at the 2025 Special Olympics Kingdom Games, competing in Bocce and Swimming—and earning an impressive medal haul.
In Bocce, Sint Maarten’s athletes won their division, securing two gold medals. The success continued in Swimming, where the team added three (3) gold, four (4) silver, and one (1) bronze medal.
The overall medal tally was:
• Gold – 5
• Silver – 4
• Bronze – 1
A historic moment capped off the event when, during the closing ceremony, the Special Olympics Torch was officially passed to Sint Maarten, signifying the island as the host of the 2027 Special Olympics Kingdom Games.
Sint Maarten proudly congratulates all athletes for their achievements and looks forward to welcoming the Kingdom to the island in 2027.
