Parliament of Sint Maarten Today, March 13, 2026, the Committee of Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry (CAFAH) of the Parliament of Sint Maarten met with representatives of Native Nations SXM.

A presentation was delivered by Mr. Robert Clifton Brown, Executive Representative of Native Nations SXM, on a proposed regulatory model for the legalization and regulation of cannabis in Sint Maarten.

The meeting provided Members of Parliament with the opportunity to review and discuss potential frameworks and the possible impact on agriculture, economic development, and regulation in the country. Some members were also given the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns on the topic.

The meeting was adjourned until further notice.
