Statia Government 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫-𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐭. 𝐄𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐮𝐬

On 23 and 24 March 2026, Director-General for Kingdom Relations Barbera Wolfensberger visited St. Eustatius (Statia), accompanied by Alisha Autar, Senior Policy Officer.

The visit began with an introductory meeting with Island Governor Alida Francis, followed by a meeting with the Executive Council.

The programme also included visits to Made in Statia, the abattoir and the harbour. These site visits provided the delegation with insight into ongoing developments and infrastructure related matters on Statia. The Programme and Project Management Office joined the delegation for this part of the visit.

The introductory visit also provided an opportunity to gain a broader impression of Statia and several of the island’s current priorities.

On 24 March, the delegation departed Statia for Saba.
