Curaçao Welcomes Direct Aerolíneas Argentinas Flights from Buenos Aires Starting January 2027
WILLEMSTAD – August 28, 2026 – Curaçao continues to strengthen its position as a preferred destination for travelers from Argentina. In this context, the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Roderick Middelhof, and the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), in collaboration with Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH), Curaçao Airport Partners (CAP), and the Curaçao Hospitality & Tourism Association (CHATA), welcome the announcement by Aerolíneas Argentinas that, starting January 2, 2027, the airline will operate a direct route between Buenos Aires and Curaçao for the first time in its history. The service will operate four times per week, with two nonstop flights and two flights via Aruba, and will continue through March 29, 2027.

Argentina has been one of Curaçao’s fastest-growing tourism markets in recent years. Between January and July 2026, Curaçao welcomed 23,924 stayover visitors from Argentina, representing a 79% increase compared to the same period in 2025. In July alone, Curaçao welcomed 4,862 Argentine visitors, compared to 2,885 in July 2025, representing an increase of 69%. The new Aerolíneas Argentinas service represents an opportunity for more visitors from Argentina and the broader South American region to experience Curaçao’s diverse tourism offerings. These include a wide variety of accommodations and tourist attractions to beautiful beaches, water sports, vibrant culture, events, and much more, all complemented by the warm hospitality of the people of Curaçao. At the same time, this new route will provide Curaçao residents with more travel options, whether for leisure or business.
