J. Wanga van het Brandweerkorps Caribisch Nederland (BKCN) start met de 55e voltijdopleiding Brandweerofficier
Samen met 15 andere studenten is J. Wanga gestart met deze anderhalf jaar durende opleiding bij het Nederlands Instituut Publieke Veiligheid (NIPV) in Arnhem. De formele start van de opleiding vindt plaats op 16 september.
Tijdens de opleiding worden de studenten voorbereid op een veelzijdige rol als brandweerofficier. Zij ontwikkelen kennis en vaardigheden op het gebied van risicobeheersing, beleidsontwikkeling en het leidinggeven tijdens crisissituaties. Ook worden zij voorbereid op het nemen van snelle en doordachte beslissingen en het coördineren van teams tijdens incidenten, zoals branden en hulpverleningsacties.
De opgedane kennis en nieuwe inzichten dragen bij aan de verdere ontwikkeling en professionalisering van het korps. Na anderhalf jaar keert J. Wanga terug naar Caribisch Nederland, waar hij zijn opgedane expertise als brandweerofficier verder zal inzetten binnen het BKCN.
Het Brandweerkorps Caribisch Nederland wenst J. Wanga heel veel succes en plezier met de voltijdopleiding tot Brandweerofficier.

J. Wanga from the Caribbean Netherlands Fire Department (BKCN) starts the 55th full-time Fire Officer training programme
J. Wanga has started the one-and-a-half-year Fire Officer training programme at the Netherlands Institute for Public Safety (NIPV) in Arnhem, together with 15 other students. The official start of the programme is on 16 September.
During the programme, the students prepare for the wide range of responsibilities that come with being a fire officer. They develop their knowledge and skills in areas such as risk management, policy development and leading teams during crisis situations. They also learn how to make quick and well-informed decisions and how to coordinate teams during incidents, such as fires and emergency response operations.
The knowledge and new insights gained during the programme will help further develop and professionalize the fire department. After one and a half years, J. Wanga will return to the Caribbean Netherlands, where he will put his newly gained expertise as a fire officer to use within the BKCN.
The Caribbean Netherlands Fire Department wishes J. Wanga every success and, of course, an enjoyable and rewarding time during his full-time Fire Officer training programme.
