Ministry VROMI Staff partake in Management Training

Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), recently selected several staff members to part take in management trainings provided by Smart Caribbean.

Members were trained in Effective Personal Leadership for Senior Management, Performance Management for Senior Management, and Performance Management for Medium Management.  
 
The aim of the training was to further develop and refine the management skills that are needed to upgrade the performance of the participants and to work more effectively.
 
The Effective Personal leadership training consisted of various topics including, the importance of communications for good leaders, which was tailored to specific situations for the employees.
 
In this training participants learned to develop their own persuasive leadership styles, how to improve their communication skills and how to manage and motivate individual employees.
 
The Performance Management training focused on middle management being the executive connection (link) between the workplace and the leadership of the organization and is often versatile and an all-rounder.  
 
It highlighted that people should prevent and solve problems. The participants particularly learned to manage an organization, planning and organizing as well as increasing the effectiveness of the department.
 
The training took place over a two week period.
