STCB ke yama e boluntarionan danki pa nan trabou duru i nan dedikashon!
Despues di a presensiá e gran apertura di Bon Doet na Sorobon djabièrnè mainta, mas ku 60 studiante di Fundashon Forma yen di ánimo a djòin STCB pa un akshon grandi di limpiesa di e palunan di mangel i e bòshinan di santu na Sorobon. A hasi limpiesa na tres diferente área rònt di Sorobon, i e studiantenan kasi a yena tres kònteiner grandi di Selibon ku plèstik, bòter i tapa, richi, slòf i demas sorto di shushi. Pa sera e mainta i pa sasia nan set i hamber, e studiantenan a disfrutá di apelsina sabroso i pandushi ku Van Den Tweel Supermarket i The Real Dutch Bakery a pone disponibel.

Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire: Thank You Bon Doet Volunteers!
Kralendijk, March 16th, 2017 – More than 100 enthusiastic volunteers helped Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB) with the Bon Doet activities that were organized on March 10 and 11. Together with STCB staff, the volunteers cleaned the mangroves and sand dunes at Sorobon, and removed deadwood on Klein Bonaire. STCB would like to thank these volunteers for their hard work and commitment!
After attending the grand opening of Bon Doet at Sorobon on Friday morning, more than 60 high-spirited students from Fundashon Forma joined STCB for a large clean-up of the mangroves and sand dunes at Sorobon. Three different areas around Sorobon were cleaned, and the students filled almost three large Selibon containers with plastics, bottles and caps, straws, flip-flops and all other sorts of trash. To end the morning, and to quench their thirst and hunger, the students enjoyed some delicious oranges and dushi buns provided by Van Den Tweel Supermarket and the Real Dutch Bakery.
On Saturday morning, STCB staff received support from two more groups of volunteers. With the help of a softball team and volunteers from Maduro & Curiel’s Bank, STCB staff removed deadwood on Klein Bonaire. The wood was blocking the beach access for sea turtles and taking up all the space on the sand needed for turtles to nest. Thanks to the volunteers, the beach is now ready for the upcoming nesting season which normally begins in May.

Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire: Bedankt Bon Doet Vrijwilligers!
Kralendijk, 16 maart 2017 – Meer dan 100 enthousiaste vrijwilligers hebben Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB) geholpen bij de Bon Doet activiteiten van 10 en 11 maart. De vrijwilligers hebben samen met STCB de mangroves en zandduinen van Sorobon schoongemaakt, en sprokkelhout verwijderd van Klein Bonaire. STCB wil de vrijwilligers graag bedanken voor hun harde werk en toewijding!
Na een grootse opening van Bon Doet bij Sorobon op vrijdagochtend, hebben meer dan 60 energieke studenten van Fundashon Forma STCB geholpen bij een clean-up van de mangroves en zandduinen bij Sorobon. Drie verschillende gebieden werden schoongemaakt, en de studenten hebben drie grote Selibon containers bijna helemaal gevuld met plastic, flessen en doppen, rietjes, slippers en allerlei ander soort afval. Om de ochtend goed af te ronden, dorst te lessen en honger te stillen, hebben de studenten genoten van sinaasappels van Van Den Tweel en krentenbollen van de Real Dutch Bakery.
Zaterdagochtend ontving STCB hulp van nog twee groepen vrijwilligers. Met de steun van een lokaal softball team en vrijwilligers van Maduro & Curiel’s Bank, heeft STCB sprokkelhout verwijderd op Klein Bonaire. Het hout blokkeerde de toegang tot het strand voor schildpadden, en nam veel plaats in op het strand: ruimte die nodig is voor de schildpadden om nesten te leggen. Dankzij de vrijwilligers is het strand nu klaar voor het komende nestseizoen, dat normaalgesproken in mei begint.
