Willemstad – Djaweps 13 di aprel 2017 a tuma lugá entrega ofisial di un potrèt firmá pa defuntu Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez na Dr. Francis de Lanoy, Rector Magnificus di Universidat di Kòrsou Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC).
E akto akí di parti di sra. Helga Mensing kende tabata amiga di kasá di Doktoor, Lucina da Costa Gomez-Matheeuws, tabata kumplimentu ku un último deseo di Lucina kende a fayesé na kuminsamentu di e aña akí. Ta trata di e potrèt ku semper el a apresiá di tin kuné na bida.

Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez (1907–1966), konosí komo Doktoor, a studia pa abogado, tabata miembro di Partido Katóliko i despues a lanta den añanan 40 Partido Nashonal di Pueblo. Su partido a hunga un papel klave den negoshamentu di outonomia pa Kòrsou na 1954. Ta konsider’é tata di pensamentunan ku a resultá den Statüt na 1954.
Lucina da Costa Gomez a konsiderá ku ta na su lugá pa e potrèt ei ta kologá den Universidat di Kòrsou ku ta kargando nòmber di su kasá.

Ondertekende foto van Doktoor voor de Universiteit van Curaçao
Willemstad – De officiële overdracht van een door dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez ondertekende foto, was afgelopen donderdag 13 april 2017 aan dr. Francis de Lanoy, Rector Magnificus van de Universiteit van Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC).
Deze foto werd officieel aangeboden door mw. Helga Mensing, vriendin van de recent overleden echtgenote van Doktoor, Lucina da Costa Gomez-Mattheeuws, wiens laatste wens dat was en het is de foto die zij altijd bij zich droeg.
De originele foto is met haar meegegaan in haar kist.
Dr. Francis de Lanoy waardeerde het cadeau vooral omdat de Universiteit van Curaçao momenteel bijna klaar is met een afdeling die alle informatie van Doktoor zal hebben voor geïnteresseerden. Meer informatie hierover volgt binnenkort.
Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez (1907-1966), bekend als Doktoor, studeerde rechten, hij was lid van de Katholieke Partij in Curaçao en richtte in de late jaren veertig de Nationale Volkspartij op.
Zijn partij speelde een belangrijke rol in de onderhandelingen om Curaçao in 1954 autonoom in het Nederlands Koninkrijk te laten worden. Hij wordt beschouwd als de vader van het denken dat resulteerde in het Statuut in1954.
Lucina da Costa Gomez vond dat de beste plek voor deze foto de Universiteit van Curaçao is aangezien die de naam van haar man draagt.
Mv. Mensing benutte ook de gelegenheid om studenten van de Universiteit van Curaçao te ontmoeten.
Op de foto het moment dat mw. Helga Mensing de door Doktoor ondertekende foto aan dr. Francis de Lanoy van de Universiteit van Curaçao Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez, bezorgde.

Signed picture by Doktoor for the University of Curaçao
Willemstad – The official presentation of a picture signed by Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez was given last Thursday April 13, 2017 to Dr. Francis de Lanoy, Rector Magnificus of the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez (UoC).
This was officially delivered by Mrs. Helga Mensing, a friend of the late wife of Doktoor, Lucina da Costa Gomez-Mattheeuws, granting thus the last wish of Lucina who passed away in the beginning of this year and who had always carried this picture with her.
The original picture was laid to rest with her.
Dr. Francis de Lanoy appreciated the gift specifically because the University of Curaçao is working at this moment at the final part of a section dedicated to Doktoor. More information will be following soon.
Dr. Moises Frumencio da Costa Gomez (1907–1966) known as Doktoor, studied law, he was a member of the Catholic Party in Curaçao and started in the late forties the People’s National Party.
His party had played an important role in the negotiations for Curaçao to become autonomous in the Dutch Kingdom in 1954. He is considered the father of the thinking that resulted in the 1954 Charter of the Dutch Kingdom.
Lucina da Costa Gomez considered that the best place for the picture to be is at the University of Curaçao that is carrying the name of her husband.
Mrs. Mensing also used the opportunity to meet with students at the University of Curaçao.
In the picture the moment that Mrs. Helga Mensing delivered the picture signed by Doktoor to Dr. Francis de Lanoy of the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises da Costa Gomez.
