Minister Lee invites construction companies to session on job-site safety laws
The Ministry of VSA is inviting construction companies and those in the field to attend an information session May 15th on the topic of Occupational Health and Safety. The event is hosted by the Inspectorate of the Department of Labor Affairs and will take place at the NIPA in Cayhill from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
Minister of Labor Emil Lee commented: “The idea is to educate, in particular the construction sector employers about what kind of job safety standards should be in place in order to reduce the risk of personal injuries of their employees. The regulations, rules and laws that are in place, including best practices will be shared.”
The session will have several speakers including representatives of the; Social & Health Insurances SZV, National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB), Optima BV, NIPA / MIC-IT and the Inspectorate of Labor.
