Government of Sint Maarten Today, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the President of the Parliament of Sint Maarten, Mrs. Sarah A. Wescot-Williams, met with Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, Dr. Luc F.E. Mercelina, to discuss the working relationship between Parliament and the Council of Ministers.

Today, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the President of the Parliament of Sint Maarten, Mrs. Sarah A. Wescot-Williams, met with Prime Minister of Sint Maarten, Dr. Luc F.E. Mercelina, to discuss the working relationship between Parliament and the Council of Ministers. The President and the Prime Minister focused their discussion on Parliament’s role in representing the people, its responsibilities as a co-legislator, and its oversight of government policies, as well as the expectations from both institutions regarding the functioning of our parliamentary democracy. Each were supported by their respective Secretaries General, of Parliament respectively the Council of Ministers.
