United States and Aruba Renew EducationUSA Partnership to Expand Access to U.S. Higher Education

Consul General Ramon “Chico” Negrón and Aruba’s Minister of Education Gerlien Croes signing a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to re-establish the EducationUSA Center in Aruba.
The United States Consulate General in Curaçao and the Ministry of Education and Sports of Aruba have signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to re-establish a Comprehensive EducationUSA Advising Center in Aruba. The signing ceremony took place on November 25, 2025, marking a significant step forward in the ongoing collaboration between the United States and Aruba in the areas of culture and education.
The renewed agreement underscores the shared commitment of both governments to provide Aruban students and the wider community with accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information about higher education opportunities in the United States. Through the EducationUSA Advising Center, students, parents, and educators in Aruba will have access to professional guidance, resources, and workshops designed to help them navigate the process of applying to accredited U.S. colleges and universities.
Hosted by the Ministry of Education and Sports in Aruba, the Center will be staffed by a qualified adviser and equipped with a dedicated space for reference materials, internet access, and public events. The Center will also serve as a hub for outreach activities across Aruba, ensuring that information about U.S. higher education is accessible to all interested members of the community. By supporting the EducationUSA Advising Center, both parties aim to empower Aruban students to pursue world-class educational experiences in the United States.
