The Minister of General Affairs, Dr. Luc F.E. Mercelina, and the Minister of Tourism, Economics Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication, Mrs. Grisha S. Heyliger-Marten were called to Parliament to provide answers to questions from MP Francisco A. Lacroes and MP Egbert J. Doran.
Public meeting no. 09 (Question Hour) was held on Monday, December 15, 2025. The Minister of General Affairs, Dr. Luc F.E. Mercelina, and the Minister of Tourism, Economics Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication, Mrs. Grisha S. Heyliger-Marten were called to Parliament to provide answers to questions from MP Francisco A. Lacroes and MP Egbert J. Doran.
The questions from MP Lacroes regarded Sint Maarten’s national strategy for fuel diversification, LNG transition, public utilities, and the implementation of community benefits, while the questions from MP Doran regarded the reconstruction of the Philipsburg Marketplace and support to displaced vendors.
During the meeting MP Lacroes and MP Doran were given the opportunity to address the topics and pose their questions to the Ministers. Other Members of Parliament were also given the opportunity to pose questions related to the topics, and the Ministers provided the answers.
The intention of the question hour is to create the possibility for Members of Parliament to interact with Ministers on current pressing matters.
