Parliament of Sint Maarten On Monday, February 9, 2026, in Central Committee meeting no. 14, Members of Parliament met with the Minister of Finance, Ms. Marinka J. Gumbs regarding the amendment of the draft National Ordinance on the Revision of Formal Tax Law.

The meeting was a continuation of the session adjourned on February 4, 2026, at agenda point 1. On Monday, the Minister returned to Parliament for additional questions by Members of Parliament there being none, this agenda point was once again adjourned to allow the Minister time to prepare the answers to the questions posed by the Members of Parliament during the Meeting of February 4, 2026.

Subsequently after deliberations on agenda point 2, “Advice on the proposal by the Committee for Petitions on the establishment of an Ad Hoc Committee related to NV GEBE”, this agenda point was closed. An advice will be sent to a Public meeting for further handling.
