On Thursday, April 23, 2026, Members of Parliament met for the continuation of urgent Public meeting no. 13 with the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Ms. Melissa D. Gumbs, to discuss the current state of operational and sanitary conditions in public schools, including supply shortages and instructional resource constraints.
Minister Gumbs returned to Parliament and provided the answers to the questions posed by the Members of Parliament during the first round. Thereafter in accordance with the speakers’ list, the Members of Parliament were then given the opportunity to pose additional questions in the second round, to which the Minister provided a response.
The meeting was closed following the completion of the second round of deliberations.
