CHATA Annual General Meeting

More than 130 hospitality leaders, tourism stakeholders, government representatives, investors, educators and industry partners gathered during CHATA’s Annual General Meeting at Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort to discuss the future of tourism in Curaçao and the importance of managing growth responsibly and strategically.
Held under the theme “Together Building a Stronger Curaçao: People. Planet. Prosperity.”, the evening focused on key priorities including workforce readiness, infrastructure, sustainability, accessibility, hospitality education and protecting the authentic identity that makes Curaçao unique.
The evening opened with remarks by CHATA Chairwoman Mimi Luttge, followed by CHATA CEO Anuschka Cova’s annual sector update. Attendees also heard presentations by Curaçao Tourist Board Managing Director Muryad de Bruin and Carolien Manuel on ongoing developments and opportunities within the destination and tourism sector.
Minister of Economic Development Mr. Roderick Middelhof was present during the evening alongside representatives from organizations including Kontiki Beach Resort, Curaçao Airport Partners, Curaçao Tourist Board and hospitality businesses from across the island.
During the meeting, CHATA members formally approved the 2025 Financial Statements while discussions highlighted collaboration, sustainable destination development, carrying capacity and long-term planning for Curaçao’s tourism future.
A special keynote presentation by Cresenzia Biemans of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort encouraged attendees to reflect on the future of Caribbean tourism and intentional destination development.
CHATA extends special thanks to MCB for supporting meaningful industry dialogue and collaboration surrounding the future of Curaçao’s tourism sector, and to Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort for hosting this year’s CHATA Annual General Meeting.
