Saba Tourism Continues to Strengthen U.S. Media Exposure
The press trip forms part of Saba Tourism and Diamond PR’s 2026 public relations strategy, which takes a campaign-driven approach to destination storytelling. Media visits are designed to highlight different aspects of Saba and provide journalists with firsthand experiences that can inspire meaningful editorial coverage.
The trip drew inspiration from the “Isle of Women” storytelling concept, recognizing the role women have played in Saba’s history and cultural heritage. The concept reflects on the generations of Saban women who contributed to their families and community through resilience, craftsmanship, and traditions such as Saba Lace.
During their stay, the journalists experienced several elements of Saban life and culture, including a traditional Saba Lace workshop with Peggy Barnes and a visit to the Saba Heritage Center. The itinerary also showcased Saba’s natural environment through a hike down The Ladder and snorkeling with Sea Saba in the Saba Marine Park, complemented by local dining and opportunities to connect with residents.
Together, these experiences offered the visiting media a broader perspective on Saba, combining its culture and heritage with the nature and outdoor experiences for which the island is well known.
The visit supports Saba Tourism’s continued efforts to broaden the stories being shared about the destination and strengthen its visibility in the U.S. market. Through its ongoing collaboration with Diamond PR, Saba Tourism will continue to use targeted media experiences to introduce new perspectives on the island and generate meaningful destination coverage. A final press trip for 2026 is currently being explored for the end of the year.
