Final Preparations of the Curaçao Culinary Team prior to the Taste of the Caribbean Competitions

Willemstad May 30th 2017- In preparation for the Taste of the Caribbean competition taking place in Miami, the Curaçao Culinary team hosted their final Cook Out at CHATA Member, Restaurant Nemo on May 29th. During the Cook Out events the guests had the opportunity to taste the dishes that the team will compete with during the overall team competition.

50 Guests had the pleasure of experiencing the culinary delights of the Curaçao Culinary Team. The guests were pleasantly surprised by the skill and talents of the local chefs and had the opportunity to personally congratulate and provide the team with valuable feedback. In addition to this the guests also received a complimentary cocktail.

During the overall team competition in Miami, the team will have 4 hours to prepare a delicious 3 course dinner for 40 guests. Last year the team dazzled their guests with a succulent fish polenta, jerk flank steak and a fresh lime pie which was awarded with a silver medal by the judges. This year the team will be competing against Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and USVI to name a few.
