Potentiële Tropische Cycloon Twee is vanmiddag ontstaan boven de tropische Atlantische Oceaan en kan zich op elk moment verder ontwikkelen tot een tropische depressie of tropische storm. Er zijn intussen waarschuwingen uitgegeven voor Barbados en Sint Vincent en de Grenadines. Voorlopig vormt dit systeem geen bedreiging voor ons eiland, maar de Meteorologische Dienst Curaçao blijft deze storing nauwlettend volgen. Volgens de verwachtingen zal dit systeem, hoewel verwacht wordt dat het tegen dinsdag enigszins zal afzwakken, ons weer tussen dinsdag en woensdag gaan beïnvloeden. Wij raden het algemene publiek aan om onze weerberichten gedurende de komende dagen te blijven volgen voor meer updates over deze storing.

Een andere actieve tropische storing boven het noordwesten van het Caraïbisch Gebied heeft ook een grote kans om zich gedurende de komende twee dagen verder tot tropische cycloon te ontwikkelen. Dit systeem is niet van belang voor ons weer.
The disturbance presently over the tropical Atlantic Ocean was classified this afternoon as Potential Tropical Cyclone Two. It could develop at any time into a tropical depression or tropical storm. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for Barbados and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Presently, this disturbance is not a threat to our island, but the Meteorological Department Curaçao will continue to monitor it. According to the latest forecast, this disturbance will likely weaken again by Tuesday but could still influence the local weather on Tuesday and Wednesday. The general public is advised to continue to follow our weather bulletins for further updates.

Another active disturbance over the northwestern Caribbean Area also could become a tropical cyclone during the next couple of days. This system does not pose a threat to our island.
