Subject: Three Individuals Arrested in Connection with Firearm Possession Incident on the Boardwalk

 

At approximately 06:30 local time on April 7th, 2024, the Police Central Dispatch of Sint Maarten received a call reporting a physical altercation taking place on the Boardwalk in Philipsburg. Responding to the call, a police patrol was dispatched to the scene to address the situation.

 

Upon arrival, while engaging with individuals present in the vicinity of the Boardwalk regarding the reported altercation, officers heard gunfire resonating in the area.  Officers initiated an immediate investigation to identify the source of the gunfire and ensure public safety.

 

Shortly thereafter, in collaboration with detectives, three young individuals riding on two scooters were spotted by officers. In the interest of public safety and order, the individuals were promptly stopped and subjected to a thorough inspection.

 

During the inspection, officers discovered and seized two firearms in the possession of the three suspects. Considering this discovery, the individuals were swiftly placed under arrest and subsequently transported to the Philipsburg Police Station for further questioning and processing.

 

The Police Force of Sint Maarten (KPSM) is committed to upholding the safety and security of our community. KPSM will continue to take decisive action to address incidents involving illegal firearms and any threats to public safety. We urge the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities promptly.

Teen girl missing

 

On Sunday 07 April 2024 report of “Missing person” was filed at the Philipsburg

Police Station by the parents Gladis Valentina HEYLEGER-PAULINO born in the Saint Martin, on 03 off august 2007.

 

Gladis Valentina HEYLEGER-PAULINO was last seen by her parents on Saturday morning on the A.th Illidge Road on the way to work. She has since not returned home, nor contacted her parents or any other family member.

 

Gladis is about 5’4 feet tall, normal build, dark brown complexion, black eyes and dark brown hair and is 16years old.

 

The police department is seeking the assistance from the community to help locate Gladis Valentina HEYLEGER-PAULINO.
