WILLEMSTAD – 25 di mei 2024 – Resientemente un total di 18 kursista a risibí nan sertifikado di Guia Turístiko Multifunshonal komo parti di e programa di training Her & Bijscholingstraject Hospitality Sector. E kursistanan a sigui un kurso kòrtiku intensivo (crash course) den kua nan a haña konosementu básiko teorétiko i tambe práktika pa por drenta e industria di hospitalidat. Durante un seremonia ameno, e kursistanan a risibí nan sertifikado serka Sector Directeur  Desaroyo Ekonómiko i Inovashon, sra. Zulaika Mook, den representashon di Minister Ruisandro Cijntje, kompañá pa representantenan di Fundashon Museo Tula, sr. Shurbey Alberto, Presidente i sra. Drs. Jeanne Henriquez ku a desaroyá e kurso. E personanan ku a terminá e kurso ta trahando awor na diferente museo i atrakshon turístiko den área di Bándabou.

 

E kurso di Guia Turístiko Multifunshonal a enserá 3 luna di entrenamentu intensivo di teoria i abilidatnan práktiko pa bira un guia turístiko sertifiká. E kurso a enserá 6 módulo; Nos Historia i Kultura, Industria Turístiko, Servisio na Kliente, Herensia Kulinario, Práktika di un Storyteller, Guia/Kaminata den Naturalesa i e módulo Liderazgo Históriko i Kultura. E kursistanan tur tabata personanan interesá pa traha den área di Bándabou i motivá pa drenta e industria kresiente di hospitalidat i turismo. E kursistanan a kompletá tambe e Personal Empowerment training, dirigí riba desaroyo di nan abilidatnan interpersonal. Durante di e trayekto e grupo a risibí ademas un seshon di informashon di parti di CTB pa keda informá riba aspektonan relashoná ku merkadeo di nos pais den eksterior, sifranan di turismo di estadia i desaroyo di e produkto turístiko.

 

E programa di training ta resortá bou di Ministerio di Desaroyo Ekonómiko (MEO) i Ofisina di Turismo di Kòrsou (CTB) ta responsabel pa e implementashon. E programa ta keda ehekutá den estrecho kolaborashon ku Ministerio di Labor (SOAW), Ministerio di Enseñansa (OWCS) i partnernan den sektor privá. 18 Participants Completed Tour Guide Course

as part of the Hospitality Industry Training Program

 

 

WILLEMSTAD – May 25, 2024 – Recently, a total of 18 course participants received their certificates as Tour Guides as part of the Hospitality Industry Training Program. The participants completed an intensive crash course in which they acquired basic theoretical and practical knowledge to enter the hospitality industry. During a pleasant ceremony, the participants received their certificates from the Sector Director Economic Development and Innovation, Mrs. Zulaika Mook, in representation of Minister Ruisandro Cijntje, accompanied by representatives from the Tula Museum Foundation, Mr. Shurbey Alberto, President, and Mrs. Drs. Jeanne Henriquez, who developed the course. Those who completed the course are now working at various museums and tourist attractions in the Bándabou area.

 

The tour guide course involved 3 months of intensive training in theory and practical skills to become certified tour guides. The course included 6 modules: Our History and Culture, Tourism Industry, Customer Service, Culinary Heritage, Storytelling Practice, Nature Guiding/Hiking, and the Historical Leadership and Culture module. All participants were eager to work in the Bándabou area and motivated to join the growing hospitality and tourism industry. The participants also completed the Personal Empowerment training, focused on developing their interpersonal skills. During the program, the group also attended an information session by the Curaçao Tourist Board to stay updated on aspects related to marketing, stayover tourism statistics, and the development of Curaçao’s tourist product.

 

The training program is managed by the Ministry of Economic Development (MEO), and the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) is responsible for the implementation of the program. The program is executed in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labor (SOAW), the Ministry of Education (OWCS), and private sector partners.
