Mark Your Scorecards: The Wente Vineyards & Arion Wine company Charity Golf Tournament tees off, at Tierra del Sol Resort & Golf, Aruba
Oranjestad. — The 17th Annual, 2025 Wente Vineyards & Arion Wine Company Golf Tournament, tees off with a shotgun start at 12noon, on September 27th, 2025.
On the eve of the tournament, Eric Wente, fourth generation winegrower & chairman Emeritus of the board at family owned, certified sustainable Wente Vineyards, will welcome sponsors and players to the Look-Out Point at Tierra del Sol for a welcome wine reception, serving the vineyard’s finest wines.
The Look-Out Point is located between the 9th and 10th holes on the golf course, boasting spectacular views of the island. Wente will take the opportunity to personally thank sponsors and players for their participation in the charity golf tournament, the following day.
Funds collected at the tournament will go to a much-needed initiative, to be revealed at the elegant welcome wine reception.
Wente Vineyards finest selections will also be served during the golf tournament, on the course, during the tournament.
Managing Director Govert van der Hout explained that Arion Wine Company has been organizing the golf tournament for the past 17 years, since his company was founded. As the representative of Wente Vineyards on Aruba, the company carries the vineyard’s complete collection, including the newest, latest offerings.
Golf pro James Kiley, will review tournament rules, in preparation for the two-player scramble format. An award ceremony, will follow that afternoon, chased by a Wine Reception & Buffet, as a festive conclusion for the day, serving excellent food and wines.

Eric Wente, will be playing the 18-hole golf course that day, and awarding the prizes to winners, at the sunset award banquet.
Tournament prizes for winning team members: 1st place (per player): A trip to California to play a round of golf at Wente Vineyards. 2nd place (per player): Dinner for two at Papiamento Restaurant, paired with a bottle of Wente wine. 3rd place (per player): Gift box set featuring three Wente wines, Riva Ranch Chardonnay, Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon, and Angels Ink Pinot Noir.
Additional prizes include Closest to the Pin (4 winners): Each receives a bottle of Wente Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon. Longest Drive (Male & Female): Each receives a bottle of Murrieta’s Well “The Spur.” Quiz Winner: A large 3-liter bottle of Wente Wetmore Cabernet Sauvignon. The charity supported by the tournament is Plan di Mayor.
