On Monday, March 30, 2026, Members of Parliament of Sint Maarten participated in a training workshop alongside representatives from the Secretariat of the Board of Financial Supervision Curaçao and Sint Maarten (Cft) and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance. The workshop focused on the national budget of Country Sint Maarten, the role of the Cft, the Kingdom Law on Financial Supervision (Rft), and the recommendations from the most recent evaluation of the Rft.
This session forms part of a series of refresher trainings organized by the Secretariat of Parliament of Sint Maarten for Members of Parliament. This session with the Cft Secretariat and the Ministry of Finance was aimed at preparing Members of Parliament for the review and handling of the draft 2026 Budget for Country Sint Maarten.
