Public meeting no. 22 of Parliament continued on Friday, August 21, 2026, with the handling of the Draft National Ordinance stipulating the Budget for Country Sint Maarten for the Year 2026 (National Ordinance Budget 2026). The Council of Ministers were in attendance.
Following the presentations by the Council of Ministers during Thursday’s meeting, the deliberations continued on Friday, with Members of Parliament posing questions to the Council of Ministers in the first round. The meeting was then adjourned to allow the Ministers time to prepare the answers to the questions posed in the first round.
The budget deliberations are scheduled to continue during the meeting week of August 24–28, 2026.
